Introduction
Salvatorian College’s Summer School is an exciting and engaging opportunity for students to transition smoothly into secondary school life. Through a mix of academic lessons, creative activities, sports, and team-building exercises, students will gain confidence, make new friends, and become familiar with their new school environment. The week concludes with an awards ceremony and a trip to BigShots Golf, making it a rewarding experience for all participants.
Format & How it Works
Key Details:
· Dates: Monday, 28th July – Friday, 1st August
· Times:
- Arrival: From 8:30 am (Breakfast Club with free toast available)
- Start Time: 8:45 am
- Finish Time: 3:15 pm (Students released from the front gate)
· Location: Salvatorian College, High Road, Wealdstone, HA3 5DY
· Group Structure:
- Students are randomly assigned to groups on the first day.
- Each group will have a dedicated Teaching Assistant for the week.
Daily Schedule Overview:
· Monday – Thursday: A variety of lessons, creative workshops, and sports activities.
· Thursday Afternoon: Whole-school BBQ and awards ceremony.
· Friday: End-of-week trip to BigShots Golf (Northwick Park) (TBC).

Each day includes a mix of academic subjects, creative activities, and sports. Below is an example timetable from last year’s Blue Group:
Subjects and Activities Include:
✅ English & Maths Boosters – Academic support in preparation for Year 7.
✅ Creative Workshops – Art, Music, Drama, and Design Technology.
✅ STEM Learning – Computing, Science, Engineering Games.
✅ Sports & Team Building – Games, PE, and outdoor activities.
✅ Cooking & Food Tech – Hands-on culinary experiences.
A detailed day-by-day timetable will be shared closer to the event.
Trips
End-of-Week Trip:
- Venue: BigShots Golf, Northwick Park.
- Date: Friday, 2nd August.
- Travel: Students will travel via TFL bus (Oyster/contactless card required).
- Food: Platters will be provided during the trip.
- Attendance Requirement: This trip is a reward for attending the full week of summer school.
Food Arrangements
Students can bring a packed lunch or opt for catering (£15 for the week).

- Tuesday: Hotdogs
- Wednesday: Tomato Pasta & Cheese
- Thursday: Whole School BBQ
- Friday: Food platters at BigShots Golf
- Morning Snack: Free toast available each day
- Breaktime: Complimentary crisps & chocolates provided

Expectations & Behaviour Policy
We expect all students to:
✔ Be punctual and attend every day.
✔ Participate fully in activities and lessons.
✔ Demonstrate respectful and positive behaviour.
Mobile Phones: Must remain out of sight and unused during the school day. Misuse may result in confiscation until the end of the week.
Behaviour Policy: Repeated poor behaviour may result in removal from summer school.
Medical Information
Parents must ensure that medical details are up to date by informing the school.
If your child requires an inhaler, epi-pen, or any medical device, they must bring it every day.
